Summary of project results

Students and staff mobility is a must in today''s globalization perspective, promoting consistency at international educational level, as well as enhancing the educational horizons.
This project was a part of strategy of internationalization of our university, aiming to respond to the demands of globalization, preparing the academic community to face the globalized world.
The main objective of the project was to improve the skills and competences of students and staff in the partner universities, through enhancing students and staff mobility between the Norwegian School of Hotel Management of University of Stavanger (US), Norway (as donor state), and the Faculty of Food and Tourism of Transilvania University of Brasov (UNITBV), Romania (as beneficiary state).
Although the institutional grant was initially planned to finance 3 mobilities (2 students and 1 staff), only one outgoing (RO-NO) student mobility was implemented.
Participation in this project offered the following benefits to the mobile student: improved abilities and specialized knowledge in this educational field, better intercultural and professional communication skills in a foreign language, advantage on labor market, gains on personal level (increased self-esteem, better risk management, flexibility in different cultural and professional environments).
The partnership in this project represented for the two higher education institutions a way to strengthen the collaboration, which will hopefully be transposed in future cooperation projects jointly developed.
