Description

The project, developed by the “Mihail Sturdza” Technical College (CTMS) from Iasi, in partnership with SC Chambon SRL, sets the main goal of improving internships for the qualifications of Mechanics, with a focus on acquiring the proper professional skills required by the job market, which would increase the chances of our graduates to find employment.  The project aims to establish a stronger connection with the  partner company  and offer the best selection of internship opportunities for students, to provide the most suitable professional development for teachers and tutors, as well as to create an appropriate evaluation system for the students’ performance during workplace training.  The project involves a 5 day visit to the Kvadraturen School Centre from Kristiansand, Norway. The group will be made up of the head master of CTMS, the coordinator of the technical staff from CTMS, 5 experienced  VET Mechanical teachers, an English teacher. The partner company will also be represented by 2 officials that are in charge of our students’ internships. The local activities will involve 14 teachers of technical subject areas, 86 9th grade students and 56 10th grade students from professional education. There will also be 12 economic partners involved, as well as 10 VET schools from Iasi County. The project will include activities aimed at assembling the Local Development Curriculum for the school year 2019-2020. A “Guide for students’ assessment during internships” will also be developed, to ensure a unitary tool for evaluating the results during workplace training. Through the consolidation of partnerships with economic agents and the professional development of teachers and tutors accomplished through this project, as well as improved means of learning for speciality modules attained from other projects the school has taken part in, the school can achieve a better correlation between the competencies acquired by graduates and the actual requirements of the job market.

Summary of project results

7 VET teachers with better competencies for organizing training activities in companies, 2 tutors from partner company having better tutoring competencies.

1 Practice Book, well structured and containing a significant number of well-documented and evaluation sheets.

8 The Locally Develped Curricula comply with the methodological guidelines established by the legal regulations in force.

1 Evaluation Guide with tests of good quality.

12 models of agreements of practical training of the students which are correctly completed and which contain ECVET elements..

Summary of bilateral results

The collaboration with the host school in the donor state was exemplary, professional, based on mutual knowledge, communication and respect for the organizational cultures of the two countries.The host school organized a 5 days study visit for 10 Romanian participants. During the study visit, the representatives of the host school presented the Norwegian education and training system, offered to the Romanian job shadowing opportunities, organised visits and round tables to 4 companies:Glencore Metal , KSMV, Trucknor, Audi. All the activities were opportunities for Romanian teachers and tutors to improve the Romanian students'' work based learning.The Romanian and Norwegian school plan to continue the collaboration in future Erasmus+ projects (both partnership and mobility projects).
