Description

This mobility project responds to the strategic policy of internationalisation of the University of Craiova which aims at increasing the number of staff and student exchange mobilities and international activities carried out by beneficiaries from our institution and partner universities from Norway and Iceland. Thus, they will provide the corresponding training for both academic and administrative staff members in order to increase their performance level.
By granting beneficiaries acces to the EEA Funds, we will encrease the number of available exchange opportunities that our academic community can acces in order to study or carry out research activities in partner uniresities fron Norway and Iceland.
Sustainability wise, carrying out this project will allow us to maintain and develop the partnerships that have already been established by our university with universities from Norway and Iceland and to allow to other students and staff members the opportunity to visit these universities within the framework of the EEA Mobility Project.
Furthermore, the dissemination of the results of the beneficiaries'' exchange experience within their community will impruve the quality of academic activities and will help partner universities to develop and addapt their curricula according to common interest.

The main objective of the project is to increase higer education student and staff mobility between the University of Craiova and universities from the donor states. Through this initiative, the institutions involved in mobility activities will work together in order to encourage collaboration in academic areas of common education interest.

The role of the donor partner is essential in providing support to foster academic exchange and international cooperation. Moreover, the role of the partner is to contribute to the drawing up of realistic and achievable objectives and to their implementation through common actions.

Summary of project results

The mobility project was needed both for institutional purposes (enhanced cooperation with top-flight universities in Norway and Iceland, increasement of the number of staff and student exchange mobilities and international activities carried out by beneficiaries (training and placement mobilities) from our university and partner universities from the Donor States) and for ensuring the performance level of the academic and administrative staff members involved in the mobility project.
The results of this enriching experience will be sustained and propagated within the University of Craiova, through enhanced knowledge and research excellence that will ensure internationalisation at home for a long-term which is beneficial both to the academic staff and to the students.
