Description

The "Artvocacy" project aims to stimulate civil society through various art forms. One of the problems that the urban community faces most acutely is the lack of involvement of young people in the community and also the lack of their attempt to solve the problems that the community faces. What project propose is through artistic activities to activate the Turda area civically and to train young people to take part in the democratic processes in the community. To achieve this goal, there will be activities such as "Voice through speech" which will consist of an information session on public administration law, followed by an activity through which beneficiaries will simulate the adoption of a local council decision, thus knowing what mechanisms exist in order to generate change in the community in which they live. Also, an activity entitled "Voice through photography" will be organized, which aims to inform young people about the institutions of the European Union, as well as methods by which they can make expressive images about the given topic. The results of these activities are informing young people about the European institutions and the impact of the Union on their development, as well as photography techniques through which they can make quality visual materials. Another type of activity is "Voice through design" which aims to instruct young people on the transmission of a message through a design. The "Voice through film" activity aims to raise the alarm about the mental health of community members through video materials made by participants and the awareness campaign. The project will have as partners the Turda City Hall, which will support logistically, by offering space, respectively the Potaissa Art Association, which will offer the expertise regarding the production of video and photography materials.
