One of the identified problems consist in the reduced possibilities of adapting the educational-therapeutic spaces to the requirements of the activities in this field in order to ensure the educational-therapeutic progress of the children with ASD. The Applicant and his Partner Special Gymnasium School of Pascani identified a number of problems as a result of the increased number of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the diversity of the educational-therapeutic needs that they claim. The main activities of the project consist in: re-examining the spaces of 6 classrooms, adapting the educational-therapeutic approach in designing activities according to ASD design, completing spaces with necessary materials and activities that aim the parents. The aim of the project is to increase the educational and recovery results in the instructive-educational approach of children with ASD at Gymnasium School of Pascani. From the activities of the project will benefit 60 children among with the children''s parents that will receive counseling in the continuation of the therapeutic act at home. There will be also some symposia and workshops where specialists from Iasi County and beyond will participate in order to be aware of the need to improve the therapeutic educational approach and to respond to the needs of children with ASD.

Summary of project results

Go Care and the Pascani Special Secondary School, identified the needs regarding the modernization of the
educational-therapeutic spaces that the partner institution has, as a result of the increase in the number of
children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the diversity of the educational-therapeutic needs that they
have they have them.

By implementing the project, the educational-therapeutic spaces were adapted to the
requirements of the activities in this field, to ensure the educational-therapeutic progress of the child with
ASD. Together with the specialized staff (psychologists, psychopedagogues, etc.), the spaces of 6 classrooms
were re-examined, for rehabilitation and equipping with modern work tools 9 school furniture, sensory panels,
Montessori type games, interactive whiteboards, utensils and office equipment, printer , laptops. After
examining the therapeutic progress of the 60 children who are direct beneficiaries of the project, the
specialists confirmed the benefits brought by the project. As a result of the dissemination of the project, the
parents of the children were encouraged to use the services offered by the Pascani Special Secondary School
with confidence, receiving consultation on the continuation of the therapeutic act at home. In the symposium
organized at the end of the implementation period on this topic, the specialists from Iasi county and beyond,
debated the results of the project establishing its benefits. The exchange of experiences carried out at the
"Orfeu" Educational Center in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova was intended to bring to the attention of
specialists from both countries, the role of ergonomics in the didactic approach.

Rethinking and restoring the
therapeutic spaces were disseminated during the entire period of development of this approach, continuing
even after the closure of the project. During the dissemination, the promotion of the "Active Citizens Fund
Romania" program was considered.
