Description

The project aims at social justice and the inclusion of vulnerable groups, increasing the capacity of the 30 families from vulnerable groups located in Ilva Mare Commune, an underserved area. The need for implementing this project are the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic: extreme poverty, exclusion of children and their parents from education, employment, professional counseling, vocational training, career guidance courses. The project responds to the urgent situation: schools in Romania are in the red and yellow scenarios, students are participating in online school and do not have access to a high-performance tablet, computer or mobile phone. The project will facilitate access and provide social and educational services, new integrated models of social inclusion and social employment, services, professional counseling, vocational training and career guidance courses, non-discrimination workshops. The project will increase the capacity of the target group from the rural area of Ilva Mare Commune to have access to legal advice on employment legislation. The results consist of 3 new integrated models of social inclusion, course on education on how to use tablets, employment, professional counseling, professional training, career guidance courses, 2 new and improved models of education and non-discrimination workshops, legal counseling services. The direct beneficiaries are 30 families, 65 students, 30 adults. Indirect beneficiaries are 12 teachers and other members of the 30 families. The partner, Ilva Mare Secondary School will bring added value through his experience working with children and it will be the guarantor of achievement of the proposed activities in the best conditions for the target group.

Summary of project results

Within the project were implemented and delivered social services: counseling / professional assessment / education as well as legal services, which were very important for achieving the project goal, social justice and inclusion of vulnerable groups, increasing the capacity of 30 families / vulnerable group in Ilva Large, underserved area.

Main results: 1 tablet use course for 107 participants, 1 tablet user guide was developed, 35 tablets were put to use, were implemented and delivered 3 new, integrated, social inclusion models of the 30 families. In order to meet the needs of social employment services were organized: counselors and professional evaluations, education / career guidance course, 30 ejobs accounts were opened, 17 accounts on OLX. Also, information activities were organized legal advice about the employment rights and those as employees of the 30 parents and 4 individual counselors as well as for children 5 workshops on topics related to non-discrimination and changing attitudes and negative practices towards children. Unplanned results were obtained: the participation in workshops of 162 children (97 children more).

30 adults their integration and social inclusion as a result of their participation in the services: counseling and professional evaluation, education / career guidance course and legal counseling. The lessons learned were involvement, perseverance, understanding and good communication, as a result of good collaborations between all parties involved in the project. The visibility of the project / donors was ensured by posting information about the project and donors on their own communication channels (project sites / facebook pages of the project, the applicant and the partner).
