Description

This project aims to demonstrate the GREEN DUNE Photobioreactor applied to microalgae culture, bioremediation, and liquid and gaseous effluents treatment from activities related to aquaculture and industry. The mission of this project is to optimize the GREEN DUNE photobioreactor by correcting structural and manufacturing aspects, enabling continuous improvement of this product that leverages it from TRL7 to TRL9.

The aim of this project is to industrialize the GREEN DUNE Photobioreactor and optimize it for large-scale commercialization for microalgae cultivation, wastewater treatment, bioremediation, and CO2 capture.

As a preferred market, we highlight the microalgae culture, fish aquaculture and food industries, bioremediation of coastal waters, aquaculture effluents, capture of industrial CO2 for bioremediation of greenhouse gases (GHG), promoting circular economy and sustainable exploitation of resources.

The technology presented here is innovative and therefore has great potential and impact. This project aims to introduce in the market an innovative, modular, plug and play product, easy to apply and transport, with high performance with low CAPEX and OPEX costs, increasing the profitability and efficiency of the systems where it is applied. The strengths of this project include competitiveness, modularity, innovation, promotion of circular economy, and a growing market application.

This partnership consists of promoter Bluemater and partners Necton, Piscicultura do Vale da Lama, University of Algarve and Norce. It includes, in terms of resources, companies that are currently fully aligned with the project objectives and assumptions, and the interconnection is already in place. Between these entities and the activities to be developed that are perfectly ordered and foreseen in the schedule of activities assigned to this project, thus allowing a logical chain and the correct allocation of each resource based on the final objective.
