Description

The “13+” project aims to reinforce the capacity of the promoter entity, by increasing the notoriety of its image/brand and its available resources, while seeking to reduce its dependence on external funds. For this purpose, it will carry out a market study, implement communication campaigns, participate in sector forums and events, receive consultancy and seek certification of its training offer.

Summary of project results

The primary aim of the project was to strengthen institutional capacity for sustainable growth. To achieve this, the project sought to enhance the ability to reduce reliance on external support and funding, increase available resources, and boost the visibility and reputation of the Pista Mágica brand.

All proposed project activities were implemented and the seven identified actions were executed. During the first five months, the market was studied to find the best partners. All the necessary information was gathered to implement the actions related to conducting a market study and successfully obtaining certification as an official training institution from the Ministry of Labor. In addition, membership in the European Volunteer Center (CEV) was applied for and accepted. With the preliminary market study and the results of a communication audit, communication layouts were created with the help of a communication company to ensure cohesive and harmonious branding. The redesign of the website strengthened the brand image and improved its visibility. In July 2022, the Summer Volunteer School was held in Évora, an important city in the Alentejo region of southern Portugal. In November 2022, the promoter participated in the intermunicipal meeting of volunteers, giving a presentation, conducting training, and leading other activities. In December, a presentation on the role of local dynamics in promoting volunteerism and the importance of visibility was given during the International Volunteer Day celebration. In January 2023, participation took place in the opening of the European Volunteer Capital 2023 in Trondheim, organized by the Municipality and CEV. Fifteen members, including staff, directors and interns, were trained in human resources management, customer management, project creation and management, project impact assessment, cooperation and development, and formal and non-formal education tools.

In quantitative terms, the following was achieved:

- 26 professional staff trained;

- 1 partnerships between NGOs or with public/private entities supported;

- 1 NGO with effective management procedures;

- 4 initiatives implemented through partnerships between NGOs or with public/private entities.

All proposed targets were met and exceeded.
