Description

THERMOSILESIA is a manufacturer of fans, air conditioners, and accessories such as professional chemicals and assembly accessories. Under the project we intend to introduce air handling units with innovative biocidal coating and control system developed as a result of research and development works.

For this purpose, we are building a production and warehousing hall with office and employee facilities, as well as a 100 kW photovoltaic installation. Also, equipment and devices for the production of air handling units will be purchased.

The innovation of our product lies in the integration of a biocidal coating with the casing/structure of the control panel made of EPP (expanded polypropylene), which will not require the development of additional sheet metal casing, and will make it more compact and much lighter than the solutions currently available on the global market. Importantly, EPP is an ecological and fully recyclable material.

The new air handling units will have the following features distinguishing them from the competition: fungicidal and bactericidal properties ensuring hygienic conditions in rooms and user safety, good acoustic and thermal insulation properties, reduced air flow resistance resulting in lower electricity demand of the unit and no need for ozone and detergent cleaning of the installation.

The project implementation will contribute to environmental savings: reduction of CO2 emissions by 142.8 tons per year, and reduction of annual electricity consumption by 79.2 MWh per year. Implementation of the project will contribute to the employment of 14 people.

Summary of project results

The project was intended to enable Thermosilesia Sp. z o. o. Sp. k. production of innovative products developed as part of R&D works. It allowed for the introduction of a new production process.

Thanks to the implementation of the project, Thermosilesia Sp. z o. o. Sp. k. had the opportunity to build a new production and warehouse building with an office part and social facilities, where the production of innovative products developed as part of R&D works would take place. All design assumptions were achieved. A new building, production and warehouse hall were built, and most importantly, the production of innovative products was started.

The project included 3 tasks:

1. construction of the hall;

2. purchase of tools and equipment;

3. purchase of a photovoltaic installation.

All tasks were completed successfully.

Thanks to the implementation of the project, Thermosilesia Sp. z o. o. Sp. k. could introduce to the market an innovative product that was developed as part of the R&D work carried out by the Beneficiary. The new product, an air handling unit with a biocidal coating and an advanced control system, is a product that responds to the current and future needs of the entire society. Most importantly, the air handling units introduced to the market are environmentally friendly, make buildings more energy-efficient and recyclable.
