Description

The beneficiaries of our innovation will be primarily disadvantaged women who are looking for their career path or for an opportunity to return to the labour market. The project involves the development and implementation of an e-learning platform MaxRoy.edu containing educational videos in the area of broadly understood business, including setting up a business and its effective running. The courses will be divided into a-few-minute lessons (ideally 5 minutes), and the participants will be trained according to the principle of minimum effort and maximum effect, which means that the courses will contain only key information to increase the users’ competences in various areas. This model of learning fits into the needs and lifestyle of young mothers wishing to return to the labour market, who indicate little time and fatigue as their main obstacles. The teaching plan will be based on the theory of microments and nano-learning, so as to maximize the efficiency of the process and to adapt it to the nature of today’s world. The distinctive features of the platform are the speed of learning (the lessons will contain only specific practical information, possible to be acquired in 5-15 minutes) and the clearly structured knowledge.

The project costs include IT development of the new platform, and consulting services aimed at preparing an analysis of the target market, product launching, technological consultancy related to video production and mentoring for the project leader. Many (female) experts in the field of labour law, running one’s own business, HR, finances or marketing will be invited to cooperate in creating the videos.

After implementing the platform on the Polish market, we are planning to expand into foreign markets, starting with Norway and neighbouring countries.

Summary of project results

The project involves the creation and implementation of an innovative online platform where users can explore multiple educational paths in marketing and business. The teaching model will be based on the theory of micro-moments and nano-learning, aimed at maximizing efficiency and adapting to the specific needs of today''s world. Emphasis will also be placed on mobile learning, with both computer and mobile versions of the application being developed to allow users to educate themselves on any device. The application will primarily target women who are excluded from the workforce, helping them to upgrade their skills and gain necessary competencies for the job market, such as after returning from maternity or caregiving leave. For this purpose, both text and videos will be designed to be viewable anytime, anywhere.

This initiative focuses on the creation of a learning platform that is heavily reliant on text and video content, optimized for both mobile phones and computers. The platform offers a variety of educational courses in marketing and business, structured around the concept of nano-learning. This method involves delivering educational content in extremely small learning units, enabling learners to grasp complex concepts through brief, incremental episodes. These micro-moments of learning are ideal for busy schedules, allowing users to learn effectively without dedicating large blocks of time. The platform’s design is user-friendly, catering specifically to the needs of individuals who prefer visual and auditory learning methods over traditional text-based content.

The project has been successful in making education more accessible to women and people excluded from the labour market. Thereby helping them to acquire crucial skills for the job market. By integrating nano-learning techniques, the platform allows learning to be seamlessly incorporated into daily life, thus not overwhelming the users. As a result, women who engage with the platform can enhance their qualifications and career prospects, leading to potential job promotions and significant personal development. This initiative plays a crucial role in bridging gender employment gaps, promoting gender equality in professional settings. The flexibility and accessibility of the learning model ensure that users can progress at their own pace, which is particularly supportive of women looking to balance professional development with personal and family commitments.
