Description

The project objective is to increase the share of recycled paper in printing orders processed by our company, and thus to minimize environmental losses brought about by using new paper.

Drukuje.to renders comprehensive printing services for companies, and puts particular emphasis on socially responsible and ecological printing based on recycled, biodegradable and renewable materials (including potato and corn starch, apple peels, grass, stone and others). Our services are now delivered in the traditional way, and that is why the project will help us stand out from other competitors by launching an internet platform which gathers all the printing products and technologies in one place to streamline the whole process for our end customers.

The key and integral component of the new platform will be the ECO calculator generating the positive environmental effect resulting from the choice of recycled paper and presenting it to the client. The innovative calculator available to the wide public online has a chance to positively affect the awareness of the need to use ecological and recycled materials in the printing business as a whole.

We anticipate that after the platform with ECO calculator is implemented, the proportion of recycled paper versus new paper used in the orders processed in our company will grow from 30 to 50 percent, which will translate into 123.40 tons of recycled waste and 11 203.70 tons of CO2 emissions less per year.

The project costs cover solely consulting services aimed to develop the platform and the calculator with the use of AI algorithms.

Summary of project results

The project is a response to the needs and expectations of customers. The project is consistent with the development strategy enterprise based on the Blue Ocean strategy. According to this one we want to create a free strategy that has not yet been developed market space, which is the provision of printing services in fully automatic way.

As a result of the project, an innovative internet platform was developed and implemented for the provision of printing services by the company.

As part of the project, we purchased consulting services involving the development of an online platform enabling the automated ordering process for printing services, including graphic adaptation of products, automatic verification of graphic files, automatic visualization of products in 3D, as well as tracking of the order process with the possibility of analyzing any type of workflow. orders in the full printing process.

As part of the project, we purchased services to carry out development work in the field of developing the ECO methodology of a carbon footprint calculator - one of the elements of an online platform intended for the implementation of printing services.
As a result of the implementation of the project and purchased services, an innovative internet platform was developed and implemented allowing for the automated ordering process for printing services, including graphic adaptation of products, automatic verification of graphic files (.INDD, .PSD, .TIFF, .PDF, etc. source files). high resolution), digital certification of graphic files (virtual proofing), automatic visualization of products in 3D (3D mock-ups based on graphic and source files), visualization of products in 3D, as well as tracking of the order process with the possibility of analyzing the workflow of each type of order in the full printing process. Throughout the entire cycle of the product purchasing process, an original ecological calculator is accompanied, suggesting the replacement of printing semi-finished products (paper, packaging, transport) with recycled ones and showing savings for the entrepreneur ordering through the platform, up to the impact on the environment (as data on lower consumption of forest resources, less CO2 emissions, less waste, etc.).

As part of the project, we purchased specialist consulting services - services of a patent office, including services in the field of:
• research on the state of the art resulting from the IT solution project,
• examination of the patentability of the IT solution resulting from the project/protective capacity of the utility model,
• preparation of a patent application.
As a result of providing the services of a patent office, we submitted an application for patent protection.

The implementation of the project was necessary to implement an innovative platform and will allow our company to introduce a new method of providing services through service automation.

The implementation of an innovative platform is a driving force for changing the printing services sector, which will have a positive impact on the development of the Polish business space - sales of supplier services, increase in exports to foreign countries, increase in employment, improvement of processes and technologies by establishing strong B2B partnerships and sharing B2B user bases with partners.
From the point of view of our company, the implementation of the project contributed to:

- Increasing market competitiveness - improving market position;
- Offering a service that responds to customer needs;
- The platform developed as part of the project will contribute to improving the financial situation of our company;

In addition to direct benefits for our company, the project also brings added value on the socio-economic level by improving the quality of the natural environment - the ECO calculator will raise awareness as well as show what the real impact on the environment is in terms of the following areas:
- reducing wood consumption / natural forest management / tree cutting,
- reducing energy consumption,
- reducing CO2 emissions,
- reducing water consumption,
- reducing the amount of waste,
- reducing the negative impact on the ecosystem,
- reducing pollution from the paper processing/production process.

The implementation of the project was very important for our company and brought tangible benefits in the form of an innovative platform that will contribute to the introduction of a new method of providing services through service automation. We will derive long-term benefits from the implementation of the project, including: in the form of new customers and higher sales revenues.
