Description
The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency and cooperation of law enforcement agencies in combating human trafficking and gender-based violence at national and international levels. The goal will be achieved through the implementation of training and workshops (specialised training courses in the field of the international exchange of criminal information, with particular emphasis on the Interpol channels and the role of the Interpol General Secretariat in combatting cross-border and organised crime, in particular in combatting trafficking in human beings) for 300 participants and study visits in Interpol and police units in SI, NL and DE for 160 participants. Officers of KWP in Łódź, KWP b. in Radom and NwOSG will be participants. The Prison Service and NGOs-La Strada, ITAKA and PPBW will be also partners, and their experts will support the substantive side of the project. Participation in the project was also declared by-inter alia-Frontex and BMWP KGP. As a result of cooperation of experts from the partner institutions, a report will be prepared, being a compendium of modern knowledge. The material will also contain training programmes dedicated to the prevention and criminal departments. Duration 18 months.
Summary of project results
The aim of the project was to increase the efficiency and cooperation of law enforcement services in the field of combating cross-border and organized crime, including trafficking in human beings and gender-based violence.
Training and workshops : specialist training on international criminal information exchange with particular emphasis on Interpol channels and the role of the Interpol Secretariat-General in the fight against cross-border crime and organised trafficking in human beings in particular - workshop on English specialised vocabulary police and legal, training in legal regulations and practical aspects of verifying the legality of employment of foreigners, workshops on communication with victims of crime, cascade training for 200 officers of city commands, and, poviats and police stations of the Lodz and Mazovian garrison of the Police and SG officers in connection with the need to disseminate and standardize knowledge and good practices;
Study visits to Interpol, Slovenia, Germany, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia.
Results of the project are as followed:
- 300 police officers trained
- 8 study visits organised
Results of the project can impact general public, since it strengthened competences of the Police.
