Description

With this grant we will strengthen the capacity of our organisation by developing the skills of our team and increasing our visibility in the community of the city of Tarnów. Above all, we are keen to develop our team''s skills in diversifying sources of income and improve the effectiveness of our work. We aim to build a strong brand and increase the power of our voice in the local community. In this project, we also want to address the needs of foster parents and children in foster care in the City of Tarnów.

Summary of project results

- The need to diversify sources of financing and increase revenues for statutory activities,

- Low awareness of the Association''s existence, low recognition of Let''s Get Ourselves in the local community, small number of members, bad opinion about foster families exposing them to exclusion, lack of candidates for foster families

- risk of placing children in institutions,

- Lack of an organization in Tarnów representing the interests of foster families,

- Emotional problems of children in care, exposure to exclusion due to growing up in care.

- 42 hours of consulting in the field of economization of the organization and diversification of the organization''s revenue sources took place

- we have created a design subpage on the Association''s website https://mieszbiesiebie.pl/projekty/,

- we promoted the project on Facebook (38 posts), to increase the reach we also managed to prepare, print and hang 2,200 leaflets and posters in 10 local organizations.

- we managed to obtain, thanks to, among others, sending a press release to 30 media entities, interest of local media, which resulted in an interview in Temi in the December issue and a photo report on the KADR news website, as well as cooperation with TEMI magazine and the publication of 4 articles about 4 different foster families.

- two meetings were held for the local community

- an information meeting attended by 24 people and an Open Day Foster Parenting "Winter Variety"

- 90 hours of availability were held for foster parents and people interested in the topic of foster parenting

- 7 integration and educational meetings for foster parents, volunteers and supporters once a month

- 15 general development meetings for children in care - 1 one-day bus trip to the Chocolate Factory in Korczyn

- 1 Strategy for the diversification of revenue sources and economization was prepared in the form of a Social Business Model Canvas and the establishment of 3 projects in terms of EU funds available in Małopolska: training for staff and the implementation of social services for foster care, taking into account the resources, needs of Miejmy Siebie members and the needs of foster families. The design of the activities took into account the expansion of the area of ​​our activity to include the Tarnów, Dąbrowa and Brzeg poviats (so far only the City of Tarnów).

- we have equipped the office - purchased 1 laptop, 1 printer, 1 scanner, 1 radiator - as a result of promotional activities, we acquired 9 new members of the Association, The association currently has 21 members. The number of volunteers supporting the Association''s work also increased by 8 people.

- thanks to the promotion of activities with paid ads on Facebook, we reached 45,617 people.

- thanks to the hours of availability, we managed to gain new contacts, help families with their needs and systematize contact options so that anyone interested can contact us. On-call hours allowed for efficient organization of administrative matters and comprehensive planning of Miejmy Siebie events.

- thanks to integration meetings, there was a mutual exchange of experiences among foster families, which helped build a community and strengthen the self-advocacy voice. 35 people took part in the meetings.

- thanks to regular socialization, the children created a friendly environment based on support and understanding, they integrated with each other, creating a close-knit community open to people. The classes were enjoyed more than before expected to be of great interest due to the diverse topics and the much-needed respite for foster parents while their children participate in classes. Through activities for children, Miejmy Siebie has become more recognizable. 50 children took part in the meetings.
