We will carry out refurbishment work in our office. We will conduct a range of image-building and communication activities for the organisation. These will include: elaboration of a communication strategy for 1 year, initiating a co-operation with potential partners as well as development of basic communication messages, business cards, logotype, visual identity and information materials about our activities. We will run the organisation''s Facebook page. In addition, as part of the project we will carry out research on the needs of refugees from Ukraine: a questionnaire, a focus study and interviews. We will organise meetings with representatives/representatives of local authorities. We will also conduct animation and integration activities in the local community, including sports and cultural events (e.g. joint celebration of local holidays).

Summary of project results

Since the beginning of its activity, the Teren Foundation has been helping people with migration experience in matters of integration, training and acquiring the necessary competences. The foundation was created by people from Ukraine who came to Poland after the war in Ukraine began. It is certainly difficult for a new foundation without experience in implementing local projects in another country to start operating. From the beginning, we understood that it was very important to create a development plan for the near future, a communication plan with the target group and a visual style.
The project was aimed at developing the competences of employees and volunteers and strengthening the organizational capabilities of the foundation.

As part of the project, the Teren Foundation underwent training under the supervision of experienced trainers from the public sector and acquired basic knowledge and skills in the field of strategic planning. As a result, we have developed a Development Strategy for the next 3 years along with the basis of the strategy - mission and vision. Training and developing a plan helped us focus on the most important thing, assess our strengths and weaknesses, and define our perspective for the future.

The next step was communication training, as a result of which we developed a communication plan for the foundation, defined the target group and key messages for it, and understood the process of building partnership at various levels and the importance of building the image and model of the foundation. An important step for us was to develop a corporate style, starting with the logo and colors. A lot of work was done together with the designer, who helped us develop a style that matched our inner sense of individuality. As a result, we developed: information materials, brochures, business cards, information banner, presentation format, letterhead and other elements of visual style.

In order to find out the real needs of people with migration experience and help them, as part of the project, we also conducted a survey of the needs of people with migration experience and people from the local community. As a result, a comprehensive report was created, which was presented and announced at a special meeting with the mayor. Together with representatives of local authorities, we have established the first steps in response to the needs of refugees.

The activities planned as part of the project helped us get to know the target group better. We carried out 15 different integration events on various topics (local holidays, Polish and Ukrainian traditions, creative activities, psychological meetings). These events helped the foundation strengthen our organizational capabilities and recruit more volunteers to the team. Three integration trips were also organized, which provided an opportunity to strengthen the integration of Ukrainian refugees in the local community. During the implementation of the project, over 370 people, representatives of three nationalities, participated in our events. We invited residents of the local community to all the events we organized, because in our opinion, integration is about establishing basic contacts and acquaintances between people of different nationalities and generations.
We managed to present the foundation to a wide audience at three large regional events, meet personally with the city authorities, talk about the project and present our possibilities. Without a doubt, the project made the foundation better known at the local level, people got to know us at events and found out what we do.
The project formula helped, on the one hand, bring benefits to the target audience, help people in need of integration, and alleviate the challenges refugees face on a daily basis. On the other hand, the project strengthened the competences of the foundation''s team, helped to understand the development path, and understand the mission and vision.
