Description

The foundation''s target group are children and young people from foster families and orphanages, including those suffering from FAS, the trauma of broken bonds, children who have experienced domestic violence from their biological parents, including sexual abuse, and who are losing their sexual identity. As part of this grant, we plan to expand the team and conduct an information and image campaign for the organisation. We also want to conduct educational activities for our target group.

Summary of project results

1. Team development and professionalization of foundation management:

As part of the project, the DOBROdzieje Foundation carried out activities to develop the organization, support foster families and strengthen its image. Key effects included the professionalization of internal activities and the construction of lasting support for foster families and children in foster care. 1. Development of the team and foundation management The employment of an accountant from October 2023 enabled better management of finances and documentation, which increased the transparency and efficiency of activities. Cooperation with an advertising specialist from October 2023 to March 2024 contributed to an increase in social media reach, which increased the number of donors and partners. Additionally, Freshmail and ASANA tools were implemented, improving project management and communication. 2. Building a substantive team The Foundation has established cooperation with centers specializing in the treatment of children with FAS, creating a foundation of support for families struggling with this challenge. The team and volunteers participated in training in the field of FAS, fundraising strategies, building relationships and psychosexual development of children. The acquired knowledge translated into better quality of support for beneficiaries. 3. Promotion and social education A social media campaign was implemented, which significantly increased the foundation''s reach. Information posters about FAS were prepared and made available, which helped spread knowledge about this problem in the public space. 4. Support for foster families Training on FAS and attachment theory was developed and conducted with the participation of foster families. The workshops helped them better understand children''s needs and deal with challenges. Thanks to these activities, the foundation developed its competences, increased social awareness and strengthened the quality of the support offered.

The project brought measurable results, influencing the development of the foundation, supporting foster families, educating volunteers and increasing public awareness of foster care.

Project results:

1. Support for foster families:

- Two FAS workshops and two relationship building workshops were organized, attended by a total of 40 families.

- Developed and made available online FAS guide (100 downloads).

2. Education of the team and volunteers:

- 1 person was trained in FAS and 1 in relationship building.

- 5 team members received training in building fundraising strategies.

- Four workshops were conducted for 20 educational volunteers in the field of FAS and relationship building.

3. Development of students:

- Three professional workshops were organized for 15 students, which supported their development and inspired them to learn.

4. Promotion of foster parenting:

- An information spot was created and is available on the website, social media and YouTube.

- The campaign promoting foster parenting reached 200,000. users.

- Information posters about FAS were developed.

5. Development of the foundation:

- Partnerships have been established with the City Library (25 branches) and 5 FAS centers.

- Cooperation with MOPS and CAPZ in Łódź was continued.

- An accountant and an advertising specialist were hired.

- Freshmail and Asana were implemented, improving management and communication.

- A fundraising strategy was developed.
