Organisational Grant - implementation of the submitted strategy.

Our mission: The Federation of Social Organisations in the Warmian–Masurian Province (FOSa) is about people, ideas and actions. We are a federation of organisations supporting individuals and families in difficult life situations as well as their environment. We help communities and organisations to develop, we act as their voice. We initiate and implement effective solutions in the field of social policy and social care. Every person and their potential are important to us. Our vision is a strong and self-reliant society that effectively achieves its goals through activities of independent NGOs; the society in which every person is important and capable of achieving his or her goals in accordance with his or her conscience and individual needs. Our strategic goals are: 1. To strengthen our influence on the creation of public policies, including: - increasing our effectiveness and the effectiveness of the Federation’s member and cooperating organisations in solving social problems, - strengthening intersectoral cooperation for social issues. 2. To strengthen the effectiveness of our activities for the implementation of social change, including: - expanding our actions for strengthening social and civic activity, - increasing the scale and scope of support for people at risk of exclusion and in crisis, - increasing the scale and scope of support for seniors and their families. 3. To increase the professionalisation of our activities, including: - increasing the stability of our human and financial resources. - activating and integrating existing and new member organisations and their representatives. The main beneficiaries of our activities are NGOs from the Warmian–Masurian Province and people at risk of social exclusion. Every two years we carry out a diagnosis of the needs and expectations of NGOs in the region, we conduct advocacy, advisory and educational activities.

Summary of project results

The main goal of the project was to strengthen the institutional framework of the CRR, including:
- improving competences in obtaining funds for the implementation of statutory goals
- preparation and implementation of communication and PR strategies
- improving competences in the field of communication and PR
- increasing the recognition of CRR and reaching new groups of recipients
- improvement of working conditions in the organization
- development of cooperation with national and international organizations
- changing the approach/fighting against stereotyping of the Roma community
- increasing openness to the Roma community through familiarization with Roma culture and intercultural dialogue
- strengthening the Roma community

As part of activities supporting the development of the organization through brand building, we focused primarily on:
- Development and implementation of the organization''s PR strategy - a document called ROMOWIE 2.0 was created, prepared by a communication and marketing expert, assuming stages of implementation of the operational goal, affecting the recognition of the organization in the local and international environment, both majority and Roma. The implementation of the strategy assumes as the primary goal to increase the visibility of the organization and reduce discrimination of the Roma minority by the majority society by spreading knowledge about Roma culture and promoting intercultural dialogue.
We conducted a series of training courses to improve the skills of cooperation with the Roma for officials, local government employees, and NGO collaborators, as well as training for the Roma to improve intercultural communication skills and training to improve the Roma''s leadership skills and self-advocacy. Using the project funds, we made 38 educational and information films "Roma Point of View", in which we familiarize viewers with Roma culture and values important to traditional Roma. We have launched a helpline for the Roma, which has been operating since 2023 and helps people from the Roma minority in difficult life situations. With funds obtained in cooperation with an international organization, we have also launched an anti-discrimination portal that supports members of minorities in situations of acts of hate speech or discrimination. The organization became more recognizable among its target audience. The implemented promotional campaigns and activities brought the intended results, such as a greater number of contacts and interest from stakeholders. CRR staff gained greater competences in applying for funds and in the field of communication and PR. Thanks to the purchased equipment, the team''s working conditions improved.

In our opinion, the goal of increasing the organization''s recognition has been achieved. We measure this by increasing the scale of our organization''s activities, cooperation with local and international organizations, presence in international bodies such as Romani Union and active participation in them, and participation in meetings with representatives of state and local authorities, as well as increasing the recognition of our activities among the Roma community. We used the funds obtained to employ people responsible for specific areas in the organization. These people, with the support of external specialists, contributed to building the organization''s brand, implementing the prepared PR and communication strategy, as well as building relationships with donors and obtaining funds from them to finance its statutory activities. Thanks to effective actions, preparation and implementation of PR and communication strategies, as well as the work of people employed in the organization, CRR is now better recognized as an organization supporting the Roma minority and counteracting discrimination, promoting equality.  Effective fundraising strategies have resulted in an increase in the organization''s turnover. CRR staff gained greater competences in applying for funds and in the field of communication and PR. Thanks to the purchased equipment, the team''s working conditions improved. Thanks to the funds obtained, the organization expanded the scope of its statutory activities and increased the number of Beneficiaries and offered them various forms of support tailored to their individual needs.
