Description

Organisational Grant - implementation of the submitted strategy.

The mission of the Forum for Civic Initiatives Foundation is to create the conditions for young people to be creative and sensitive to global environmental problems in their communities in a changing reality and to bring about solutions together with others. Our vision is the reality where we are at the forefront of changing environmental and climate education to one that is practical and builds the causal competencies of young people. Our main goals are: 1. To develop and adapt local educational ecosystems; 2. To development models and tools for practical education focused on agency, empathy, climate sensitivity, using practical skills and modern technologies; 3. To build social networks to disseminate knowledge and tools for the above mentioned education; 4. To develop competencies of the Foundation''s team and increase the effectiveness of its activities; 5. To implement transparent and effective communication; 6. To ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability. Our main target groups are: school students, teachers, headmasters, supervisors, NGOs cooperating with schools, parents and businesses (e.g. as a future employer). Our values are: responsibility, empathy, long-term thinking. A huge challenge is the implementation of new educational tools and models, due to the Prussian model still used in education, constant system changes or lack of funding. It is therefore necessary to build and strengthen relations, both between the Foundation and its beneficiaries and the network of experts. We will forge local and regional partnerships, strengthen our position on the expert market, and our team members will improve their competencies, while at the same time ensuring their welfare. We will carry out an annual evaluation and at least two audits once a year.
