The Centre for Promotion and Development of Civic Initiatives PISOP’s vision: we are a stable, well-known civic organisation in Poland that understands and meets the needs of NGOs, has an attractive and modern offer, and responds to new trends. Our mission: we believe in the importance and power of initiatives of citizens, NGOs and social enterprises. Our main goal is to initiate and conduct information and education activities in the areas of the development, promotion and strengthening of the idea of civil society. The specific goals are: to support non-governmental organisations, social economy, intersectoral cooperation, civic activity, volunteerism, democracy, social innovation. Our beneficiaries are NGOs. We cooperate with local government units, companies, universities. Planned activities: 1. To develop the cooperation with local government units and expansion of territorial coverage, including: - direct visits to municipalities, meetings with NGOs, needs research, - development of an offer for local self-government units, - networking meetings of local government units, - running a newsletter. 2. To build the cooperation with business, including: - involving NGOs in CSR activities and in activities aimed at achieving sustainable development goals, - media campaign - development of the Linkedin fanpage, a new website, - implementation of initiatives linking NGOs and companies, - engagement of leaders (business, media, etc.), - business club meetings - presentation of the offer, - developing and sending the newsletter. 3. To develop the cooperation with universities, and international cooperation, including: - development and implementation of a strategy, - implementation of joint initiatives, e.g. volunteering, CSR activities, social research, - activities for students. 4. Activities for the development of the staff competencies, including: - identification of the staff needs, specialisations, - training, coaching, international events.
Summary of project results
The association''s goal is: to respond to significant challenges in the field of social activity and the functioning of the non-governmental sector, to be a civic organization that understands and meets the needs of contemporary social organizations, has an attractive and modern offer, responds to new trends, with the involvement of partners - non-governmental, public administration , university, business.
We have planned that the development strategy of our organization will translate into supporting the development of the social sector and expanding our activities to strengthen civil society and civic activity.
(increasing the number of supported organizations, local leaders, created sectoral and intersectoral partnerships), support for groups at risk of exclusion, activation, inclusion and sensitization to social problems of the public and private sectors, initiatives that will be undertaken in partnership with other social organizations.
We planned to achieve this by including systemic cooperation with local government units, companies and universities in the activities of the Association.
Summary of strategy implementation and results:
6 diagnostic studies were carried out, which helped to develop a course of action in the area of cooperation with universities, with business, with local government units, and in the framework of local community development.
The organization''s team was strengthened by participating in training, workshops and coaching.
Cooperation with business was developed through initiatives such as: Socially Business Club connecting 14 companies (including Volkswagen, Allegro, Żabka, Aquanet);
Let''s POChange Together campaign - 100 volunteers developing 600 m2 - area at the Youth Cultural Center No. 1 (P-ań) - planted
13,000 crocus bulbs; The Breakfast with the Community campaign tasty. We also acquired 2 partners to organize regranting competitions. As part of the cooperation with local government units, the focus was on the development of cooperation, building good relationships, and emphasis was also placed on developing the perception of the PISOP Center as a professionally operating organization. A Plenipotentiary Forum and a webinar on applying for EU funds were organised, and initiatives were carried out, including: Congress of Women, Greater Poland Youth Congress of Councils and Targ Dobra. There was also involvement in the creation of the Center for Non-Governmental Organizations - Locally. Cooperation with universities was also developed - an agreement was signed with AMU, UEP and WSH in Leszno, which resulted in joint initiatives, including: support in creating the Volont@rio application connecting student volunteers with NGOs, a micro-grant competition for students "Działy Społeczne" was organized, a grant was obtained from VMI for the implementation of a project with PUEB, the aim of which is to support pl. NGOs in financial diversification towards the use of private funds to a greater extent.
An important part of the changes implemented thanks to coaching and communication workshops is a change in the approach to diversity management. As
management, we started to pay more attention to, accept and respect the differences that exist between people and employees
associations. We approach the process of management and communication more consciously, we treat the differences existing in the team as potential
development, we take great care to ensure that each employee feels respected and appreciated, thanks to which our team members can
fully use your intellectual potential.
In turn, cooperation with local government units and educational support resulted in the establishment of long-term development cooperation in selected local government units where
activities have been planned to create local development plans, build effective cooperation between local government units and local NGOs
training plan, cooperation is currently being implemented in 15 selected local government units.
As part of cooperation with universities in Leszno, we plan to develop the topic of internships and volunteering in the third sector, while in Poznań we are talking to
The city is working on implementing microgrants for students.
Strengthening cooperation with companies resulted in the organization of two regranting competitions, in which many small, locally operating NGOs received funding for activities. Thanks to the possibility of organizing many initiatives with business, the image of the PISOP Center as an association cooperating with business was strengthened.
