Description

SIA “SOLIDIS” plans to develop new technology for the operation of the mill of the end connections of wooden frames within the project. The project goal is the development of a prototype of a new manufacturing technology which will perform the milling operation of the end connection of wooden frames, and to test this technology in order to evaluate if the envisaged production volumes and energy savings are achieved. In the result of the project, the new manufacturing technology should be tested, the results should be evaluated, as well as necessary improvements (if applicable) should be made in order to start production of the final manufacturing equipment and its application in the manufacturing process in the company. As a result of the project, the prototype of the new technology cutter must achieve significantly faster production volumes than existing plants available on the market and in-house, as well as substantial energy efficiency savings. Reduction in energy consumption - 45,15 Mwh/yearly.

Summary of project results

The company decided to develope a new machine production prototype that would be able to combine several production procedures into one thus saving every consumption and decreasing production costs.

The project aimed to improve the energy efficiency of production. A prototype of a production machine that would cover several production procedures in one was developed. This would allow  to save electricity and also manpower. Consequently, production costs would also decrease.

As a result,  a prototype of the production equipment developed, which will save around 19.9 kwh per working hour, as well as up to 75% of the labor force in the specified operations. It is important that the implementation of the project will allow us not only to significantly increase energy efficiency, but also to reduce the cost of the product, as a result of which we will be able to compete more successfully on the market. Created prototype can perform 12 machines work.
