Description

The goal of the project - to reduce the amount of consumed electricity power per cubic meter of compressed air produced per minute 0.5 kW / m3/min.

Within the framework of the project, an energy-efficient equipment with an intelligent control system for the production of compressed air will be developed. The compressed air will be produced by a screw-type compression mechanism, which will be powered by a permanent magnet motor with an intelligent control unit. An effective heat removal system will be developed.

The equipment will be constructed in three-dimensional design and modeling software. When designing, an energy-efficient placement of the components of the equipment will be sought.

The new technology will use an oil-cooled permanent magnet motor, which will be controlled by an intelligent control system using a frequency converter, ensuring efficient operation of the compressor, according to the air consumed and adopting the needs of each user. The air flow of the cooling system will be controlled by a separate control unit, so that by following the operation of the compressor, the ambient temperature can be ensured an economical and homogeneous oil temperature throughout the load period. When working at a uniform operating temperature, the least electricity consumption is achieved.

Summary of project results

In the manufacture of compressors, usually asynchronous motors with frequency control are used. Higher motor efficiency – the efficiency factor is for permanent magnet motors. In order to calculate the benefit when installing permanent magnet motors, the company decided to build two different compressors and perform measurements in the laboratory.

Models of new compressors with a more efficient body configuration were designed. The material of manufacture is saved and the equipment is smaller. This ensures economical work. The savings in electricity consumption were theoretically calculated. By operating compressors and measuring various physical parameters, theoretical calculation was almost achieved. This means that publicly producing compressors with a permanent magnet motor reduces CO emissions and makes the planet greener.

The manufactured equipment provides significant savings for the user with a walking magnet motor and intelligent compressor control.
