Description
Project objective.
The project will put into production a new product - the company''s own two-layer composite patio board.
The company does not produce this type of product so far. The new product will have a reduced environmental impact throughout its life cycle.
Recycled plastics and wood waste (the lowest grade of wood) will be used as raw materials, which would otherwise be released into the environment or used as fuel, both of which would generate CO2 emissions.
Key actions.
The project will involve the purchase of new production equipment, information activities and cooperation with a Norwegian partner.
Summary of project results
The company applied into production a new product - a two-layer composite patio board. 4 new jobs were created. Planned export 30% to Europe and North America. CO2 reduction of 1139 tons/year; reduced energy consumption of 280,77 Mwh/year. Employing one disadvantaged worker at pre-retirement age thus reducing social disparities.
