Description

The aim of ULLFA is to develop of a broad network of Latvian organisations for large families, to act as a coordinator of this network and to achieve long-term cooperation between organisations. The Union wants to strengthen its position in shaping the national political agenda regarding family policies.

The Project “TIME FOR GROWTH!” foresees:

- to reorganize the organisational structure of ULLFA, to develop management and cooperation procedures that would facilitate the Union''s capacity to reach and involve more family organisations in the network;

- to promote the visibility of the public image of ULLFA through social networks, to rebuild the website so that it becomes more transparent, user-friendly and informative in English as well, and to ensure that the views of the Union are reflected on social media;

- develop the capacity of the Human Resources in order to in order to raise (permanent) funding for regular large-family support activities organised by ULLFA.

Summary of project results

Union of Latvian Large Families Associations aim is to become a strong and organised large families network, which serves the interests of large families in a coordinated manner at regional, national and international level.

The capacity building project has carried out of significant activities that have already helped and will be an important resource in the long term to achieve the aims.

The organisation of the association was reorganised, the management procedure, the development and implementation of guidelines and methodologies for planning, delegation of tasks and control. Last year''s in general meeting established an action plan for 2 years and a draft budget for 2022. It should be acknowledged that the Action Plan has already been modified 2 times because of failed to raise the planned funds.

The dialogue with large family organisations was very successful: “We have promoted the creation of the “Honourable Family” of Jelgava large families. The association has joined the Alliance, as well as persuading them to join the Association of Daugavpils large family association “Big Families” and former. The large family association “Multi-child Ozols”. As a result of the activities of our regional co-ordinators, a group of 8 large families of Dobelle municipality has been identified and formed, which does not want to form a separate legal association for the time being, the founding documents have been submitted to the association of large families of Vidzeme municipality as individual members and in the Enterprise Register. "

The public image recognition campaign “Welcome and inform young large families mothers” has been launched.

A completely new homepage has been created under the project, through which can also follow or apply to join the Alliance.

As well as the launch of an alternative fundraising process, which included the development of an action plan for providing alternative financial means and guidelines for the Financial Coordinator.

The project team concludes: “The AIF support program gave our organization a huge push to become a modern organization for conservative people. This project grew huge ambitions and plans!"
