The project aims to improve the prevention of health risks and reduce health inequalities in Klaipėda County pre-school and school education institutions.
It is very important to carry out preventive work at a younger age, when children and young people are more receptive and form their lasting habits, which, among other things, they can pass on to their environment, to the adults around them. It is important to do this work in an attractive and inclusive form for children and young people. Appropriate infrastructure is necessary for the smooth implementation of this activity and its continuity - measures that would help to carry out the educational function and promote prevention in an appropriate, attractive form and use innovative methods. It would also enable health professionals working with the tools they have acquired to better identify and provide support for children’s mental health concerns.
During the project, 15 health offices will be repaired and a total of 39 offices will be provided with methodological tools.

With the funds of the project, 40 public health worker''s cabinets were renovated and equipped with methodological tools. Simple repair work was carried out in fifteen (3 in Palanga, 3 in Skuodo district, and 9 in Klaipėda district.) and 41 public health offices in educational institutions modernized and equipped with tools and measures. In total, all 3 partners purchased about 2 thousand various equipment and methodological tools which are important for the implementation of preventive work and the proper function of health cabinets. About 80 percent of these purchased tools are for improving mental health and preventing addictions. This project will help to ensure equal availability of health promotion, health preservation and will ensure accessibility to preventable measures in the district of Klaipėda. About 2700 pupils were able to experience the benefits of the lectures and new health-promoting tools during the project implementation period and will continue so.
