Description

The project addresses the challenge of Zarasai and Anykščiai municipalities, where due to the lack and high occupancy of existing specialists, young people experiencing social exclusion are not fully integrated into the social life, young people lack social skills, entrepreneurial skills, and informal relations and cooperation with local communities. The target group of the project is young people experiencing social exclusion from 14 to 29 years of age: children at social risk under 18, members of large families, members of families at social risk, persons belonging to national minorities, current and former children''s social care homes, community children''s care homes, students of specialized boarding schools (up to 29 years).

The project aims to meet the social integration needs of socially excluded young people (14-29 years old), encourage them to be socially responsible citizens, develop their social entrepreneurship skills, to encourage the implementation of social innovations integrating the project target group into the daily life of local communities. The project directly addresses the general objectives of the ACF program (strengthening civil society and empowering vulnerable groups), as the project will enable vulnerable groups (Outcome 4) in the project municipalities to include socially excluded young people (including young people from ethnic minorities) from 14 up to 29 years to be active and socially responsible members of society, to create and implement social innovations in cooperation with local communities. It is expected that the implementation of the project in the project municipalities will reduce the number of young people experiencing social exclusion, the overall level of citizenship of young people will increase, the level of social entrepreneurship will increase, and the level of participation of young people that experience social exclusion in the activities of local communities will increase.
