Description

The aim of this project is to create favorable conditions for young people to start being more involved into local activities and develop their patriotic feelings. The Scouts of Plungė noticed, that leaders of communities try to involve young people permanently into activities. This is important for young people as well because self-realization is closely connected with self-esteem. Work for the local community strengthens self-confidence and identity. Lastly, engagement into different sorts of work serves as preventive means.

The goals of the project are as follows:

1. to participate in at least 10 events organized by village communities of Plungė district and cooperate in community meeting in 2021.

2.To involve young people from villages into active life of local communities and strengthen their patriotic feelings.

The ambition of the project is to make joint events with Scouts and village communities and along encouraging village youth to take part in the local activities, events, coming projects, community work and share ideas and results in FB.

The target group would consist of 14–29 year-old villagers, some older activists and Scouts.

Indirect impact will be felt by other village inhabitants when young people will activate the cultural life in the villages.

The expected outcome could be:

1. Groups of young people from 10 villages are organized (around 70–100 people)

2. They would share ideas, experiences in Facebook page „Home is here“ created and administrated by  the Scouts of Plungė city.

3. It would be achieved by organizing joint meetings with ten village communities and associations for discussions about their plans and ways to implement them and organize a general community meeting in 2021.
