In the manufacture of nonwovens, the project intends to enhance the use of low-carbon technology and increase the security of electricity supply enterprise Bineko d.o.o. The organization seeks to improve energy efficiency and enhance energy production from renewable sources through the installation of new technology, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, security, and the desire to respond to the effects of climate change. Construction of a solar power plant with a connected power of 499 kW will generate 546.527 kWh of electricity, resulting in a decrease of 127,89 tons of carbon dioxide emissions (based on emission factors of 0,234.t CO2/ MWh).
Despite the fact that the project''s first phase does not include direct donor target groups, it provides a number of benefits, including electricity production from renewable energy sources, its use at the point of consumption, which reduces distribution losses, and the applicant''s contribution to safe energy use and availability. The project''s implementation will also provide an uninterrupted supply of energy, which will benefit nonwovens manufacturing, which is also in the donor firms'' target group and with whom the plan is to collaborate.
Summary of project results
The project "Increasing the capacity for the production of solar energy of the company Bineko llc." aimed to solve the key issue of the company in the implementation of the company''s development strategy regarding energy efficiency. The key goal was to increase the use of technologies with lower carbon emissions and to increase the security of electricity supply to the Bineko company for the production of non-woven textiles.
The project built a solar power plant with an approved connection power of 499 kW in the direction of transmission to the grid and a connection power of 1,210 kW in the direction of taking from the network, which increased the use of renewable energy sources, which ensured annual energy of 629.09 MWh from solar energy and reduced emissions of carbon dioxide of 127.89 t per year. The goals of the company are related to the goals of the "Energy and Climate Change" Programme in the form of reducing carbon dioxide emissions and using renewable energy sources, as well as increasing the security of electricity supply.
During the implementation of the project "Increasing the capacity for the production of solar energy of the company Bineko llc." several activities were carried out. The most important activity was installation of solar power plant on the roof of the work hall. The power of solar power plant is 499 kW in the direction of transmission to the grid. Also, plant has a connection power of 1,210 kW in the direction of taking from the network. Project Promoter obtained a permit for permanent operation from National electric company.
Also, during the implementation of project, Project Promoter has published information on the implementation of the project on the company''s official website, link https://bineko.com.hr/defaultcont.asp?id=3&n=4 , and it has been updated during the implementation of the project. A permanent board containing basic information about the implemented project was created and is located at the address of the project implementation, and brochures were created that were used when presenting the results of the project at the Final Conference. Representatives of the Bineko company held a workshop on the results of the project implementation for their employees.
The implementation of the project "Increasing the capacity for the production of solar energy of Bineko d.o.o." achieved the desired results of the project. The company acquired and installed a system for the production of electricity from the sun with a nominal power of 499 kW, which will increase the annual use of renewable energy sources by 629.09 MWh and will reduce the emission of carbon dioxide by 127.89 t per year. The planned system works automatically in all weather conditions, and all parts and components of good quality are installed in order to maintain safe operation and maximum working life of the power plant. Also, the implementation of the project reduced losses in distribution of electricity and a safe and continuous supply of electricity has been established, which will have a positive effect on the company''s overall operations.
The results of the project affect the target groups: the company, the community in which it operates and the wider community. By implementing the project, the company reduced the use of electricity from the supplier, and increased the use of renewable energy sources. Also, by reducing the emission of carbon dioxide, it affected the community in which it operates, as well as the wider community, taking care of the consequences of carbon dioxide emissions and, at the same time, improving care for the environment.
