Description
A strong awareness raising campaign will empower Roma mediators, Roma organizations and relevant professionals increasing the level of familiarization and collaboration between Roma and non-Roma communities. Awareness about civil rights and duties. Information and guidance will be provided by public administrative entities in cooperation with NGOs and Roma organizations with the aim to enhance the Roma social integration, to familiarize Roma with regulations and offer them new perspectives for their future. Additionally, the awareness raising campaign shall contribute to the fight against discrimination and racism. Personal counselling and professional consultancy sessions will facilitate the Roma social and work integration through personal growth, self- confidence and labor market tools. The wide range of Activities comprises three sets of activities as follows: 1. Activities for information-awareness raising-combating stereotypes Key Examples: awareness about the danger of addictions to illegal substances, preventing school dropout, impact of marriage of minors, preservation and promotion of Roma folkloric culture, healthcare issues, maternity issues). 2. Empowerment of Roma citizens organizations Key Examples: reinforce Roma organizations, support of Roma women and youth associations, support social cooperatives, set up Roma women and youth associations. 3. Consultancy Activities Key Examples: psychosocial counselling, personal development, personalized professional and business consulting.
