Description

One of the greatest values is a clean living environment. Man-made climate change poses risks to environment and need to be prevented. The project aim is to compose climate and energy plan. The purpose of compiling the climate and energy plan is to analyze the future climate scenarios of Estonia in view of the current situation of the Keila municipality and to develop measures that contribute to the mitigation and adaptation of climate change. The long-term goal is to achieve climate neutrality. Now, there is no complete overview of what climate risks affect Keila Municipality, what are the possibilities to mitigate climate change and adapt to the effects and there is no overview of GHG emissions. The aim of this project is to increase the readiness and capacity of Keila Municipality to adapt to change and to raise the awareness of the people. The key areas are:
•    health and rescue;
•    land use and planning;
•    natural environment;
•    circular economy;
•    community, awareness and cooperation;
•    infrastructure and buildings;
•    energy and supply insurance.
Climate and energy plan provides an opportunity for various city authorities and organizations to contribute to composing climate and energy plan and contribute to the implementation of environmental measures and the achievement of climate neutrality. The approved climate and energy plan will describe activities and measures in detail for Keila Municipality and in a more general and long-term (2050 and 2030). The target group are city authorities and other organizations.
