Description

The project focuses primarily on empowering disadvantaged groups, specifically children at risk of
parental divorce. We use innovative methods to empower children to stand up for their own needs. The
project focuses on raising awareness on the needs of such children as well. The project creates
conditions for the development and stabilization of interdisciplinary cooperation at the local level, with
a focus on state authorities and their empowerment in decision-making processes. It strengthens also
the capacity building and professionalism of our organization.

Summary of project results

The key impact of the implementation of the project is a comprehensive change in local practice when working with divorcing parents in ORP Třebíč,  ORP Moravské Budějovice and ORP Náměšť nad Oslavou (territorial administrative district of the District Court in Třebíč). During the implementation of the project, the expert team managed to implement within the framework of interdisciplinary cooperation into the procedural procedure, the authorization phase, both for a child threatened by parental conflict and for divorcing parents. Parents who find themselves in conflict were always asked to take educational support. With the consent of the parents, children at risk of parental conflict also participate in the process of finding and implementing solutions, namely in different levels of involvement, starting with informing, ascertaining opinions, wishes and needs, up to therapeutic support. Clearly, there has been a systemic change in the local conditions, when an innovative procedure, sustainable in the long term, was embedded in local practice. Likewise, the practice of a continuously cooperating  platform was introduced interdisciplinary team, which reflects the needs of local practice and legislative changes at its meetings.
