Description
The implementation of the project is part of the Strategic Plan of Dimitrovgrad Municipality for utilizing the natural, cultural, touristic, social, economic and geographical potential of the target territory and the available technical infrastructure, with the aim of creating a framework for overcoming socio-economic challenges and achieving of economic growth by supporting local businesses and creating new jobs. The project proposal covers activities for the implementation of the first stage of construction of a sports and entertainment (rehabilitation) complex in Merichleri town based on the mineral water from "Solentsi" spring, which will be upgraded to a park for sports, recreation and recreation, including a mineral water pool, outdoor fitness, tennis courts, a basketball and volleyball ground with 160 seats, as well as construction of a prefabricated construction building with a coffee club, conference hall, changing rooms, doctor''s office, rooms for judges, warehouse for sports equipment, sauna, rooms for cosmetic and spa procedures with mineral water, administrative office and additional activities. Within the framework of the project proposal, the focus is placed on the construction of physical infrastructure for the development of sports-recreational tourism, specifically on the implementation of preparatory construction-assembly and restoration works on an already existing site - an Olympic-size pool, supplied with water from "Solenci" spring. Direct and indirect jobs will be created. The total number of direct jobs is 5 contracted employees. The estimated number of indirect jobs under the project is 10, which are expected to be created during the period of operation of the project. During the implementation of the project, the Municipality will partner with "Prosveta-1896" Community Center and the Labor Office.
