Description

The visit to Oslo in September 2019 by the Greek NGO SYMBIOSIS, Civic School of Political Studies in Greece, affiliated to the Network of Schools of the Council of Europe since 2014, to work with the European Wergeland Centre, established by the Council of Europe and Norway in 2008, aimed to enhance collaboration between the two organizations.  The goal has been the development of a partnership and the preparation of an application for the upcoming Active Citizens Fund call for increased support for human rights; the deepening the partnership through planning specific common activities within

Summary of the results

Two members of the Symbiosis team travelεδ to Oslo from the 18 to 21 September 2019 (travel days 17-22) to engage in discussions with the European Wergeland Centre to elaborate the proposal, including capacity building. The proposal writing focused on a process-oriented training program promoting citizenship and human rights education, through organisation of seminars and trainings for civil society organisations engaged in civic education, stakeholders of the education system, representatives of the local communities and authorities.
