Description

The objective of the initiative is to welcome 13 male players between 13 - 17 years of age, as well as three adult trainers and one translator, to MOT’s camp and Skandia Cup in Trondheim. Through football and common activities and gatherings, Norwegian players and Mongaguá players will have an opportunity to get to know each other, which will stimulate inclusion, motivation and friendships. The initiative will also prevent discrimination, racism and drugs usage among the participants, as well as benefit their physical and mental health.

Summary of the results

Several important goals were achieved through the initiative. The first was participation in the Skandia Cup football tournament, where the players achieved great results and received praise from all sides. For most of the participants in the initiative, the trip to Norway was their first foreign experience, so this initiative broadened their horizons. Another important goal was to find out how players function and behave outside of their natural environment. In a very short time, thanks to the lectures and care from the Norwegian MOT organization, a big change in the behavior of individual participants in a positive direction could be seen. The participants were given positive values on which they can build their future personal development. Another important fact is the bonding of the Mongaguá team, which has several branches throughout the Czech Republic, and this initiative helped to make friends among the participants across the branches. Probably the most important thing that was achieved by the initiative is the acquisition of new knowledge, know-how and the overall direction of the coaches in working with the youth of the Mongaguá team across the Czech Republic. At the same time, the Czech side and the Norwegian side of MOT became very close in opinion during the initiative, so it is possible that in the future it will be possible to draw further inspiration and elements from the Norwegian youth work.
