Description

The initiative is a follow-up of a study excursion to Norway in May 2019 (supported by EEA and Norway Grants, CZ-BI014). Thanks to this initiative, the Norwegian architects agreed to give lectures about the Norwegian architecture. The cycle of lectures will be organized in Prague in 2020.
The bilateral benefit of the initiative is to strengthen the professional capacity, to acquire new know-how and to contribute to bilateral cooperation between the partners. The initiative will become a meeting place, a direct dialogue, and a source of inspiration both for architects, politicians and investors

Summary of the results

Three lectures within the initiative activities were realized. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions presentations were organized online; meeting with the architect was additionally streamed online to the Facebook page KRUH. The project promoter decided to present always only one guest/studio during the lecture evening because of time demands of two lectures for online broadcasts. The viewers of online lectures had the opportunity to ask speakers through the slido application, which they used extensively (more than in live discussions). The records of lectures are freely accessible on the Kruh association''s website www.kruh.info or on the Kruh association''s Facebook website.
Two modifications were made in the programme:
1)    postponement of the key activities and hence the completion date of the initiative till 31.12.2020 due to COVID-19 situation.
2)    replacing the Vardehaugen studio by the studio Reiulf Ramstad Architects because the Vardehaugen studio terminated their communication.
Both changes had no impact on the budget of the objectives of the initiative and were approved by the National Focal Point.
First lecture was held by the Norwegian architect Espen Folgero from the architecture studio OPAFORM in June 2020. The second Norwegian studio Reiulf Ramstad Architects realized the online lecture in October 2020, it was held by the architect Tjasa Mavric. The third lecture, by a founder of Haugen/Zohar Arkitekter - Dan Zohar, took place in November 2020.
