Children and young people from the Roma community are threatened by general lethargy survival colony. The aim of the project is the realization of leisure activities with the participation of Roma volunteers and overcoming barriers between the Roma population and the majority population. We want to create conditions multicultural and tolerant environment for children and young people from the Roma community in the countryside for leisure activities in the creative space in the country. After the experience with creative activities and great interest of Roma children from the village and surrounding area, we want to resolve space and educating him make a series of 20 workshops aimed to raise awareness and creative activities. Our intention is to engage in activities children who want to learn and are willing to receive new impulses. Mobilize parents over children from the Roma community as volunteers in the project and also for them to operate through educational activities.
Summary of project results
Children and young people from the Roma communities in rural areas are threatened by general lethargy state of " survival" in the colony.Without the active support from the "outside", they are missing meaningful example of activitiy and can not overcome doing nothing. The aim of the project was to realize of leisure activities with the participation of Roma volunteers and overcoming barriers between the Roma population and the majority population. The project objectives was to create conditions multicultural and tolerant environment for children and young people from the Roma community in the countryside. During 3 months organize regulary leisure activities :20 workshops in the artistic community space Artfarm, organize final exhibition of the children´s work and publication about the project. Our intention was to engage in activities children who want to learn and are willing to receive new impulses. Mobilize parents over children from the Roma community as volunteers in the project and also for them to operate through educational activities.We achieved all aims. Each workshop was attended by over 20 children and more. with young adults, they help us to prepare activities and together with them we prepared and final exhibition for parents and their friends. These young people were given the opportunity to learn how to organize and develop workshops,to present the work of their peers and spend their leisure time.To support the intention of the project, remove and overcome barriers between the Roma community and the majority population we printed catalog which records progress of the project adjustment of space for leisure activities with the help of Roma volunteers, children´s participation workshops, final exhibition.Cooperation with donor was very good, during the project we could consult and use advisory.At the end of the project at the exhibition we welcomed participation of representative from OSF-NOS.
