The University of Ljubljana participates in this project to achieve the objectives that it has set in the university strategy for the period 2012-2020. The strategy has identified internationalization and the international flow of knowledge and visibility as one of the strategic priorities. Mobility to Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein will enable students, teachers and university's employees to access advanced education and gain new experience and knowledge in the field of higher education. Through this project the University aims to reach the number of around 130 exchange students, with a significant emphasis on student mobility, especially internships. The University of Ljubljana has already signed a bilateral agreements with higher education institutions from all three donor countries, but it will also procure new agreements to facilitate additional mobilites and partnerships.

Summary of project results

University of Ljubljana entered into the project of the Slovene scholarship fund SI04, EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanism, in order to achieve the objectives that it has set in the university strategy for the period 2012-2020. The strategy has identified internationalization and the international flow of knowledge and visibility as one of the strategic priorities. Mobility to Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein will enable students, teachers and university's employees to access advanced education and gain new experience and knowledge in the field of higher education. With the project the University wanted to reach the number of around 130 mobile persons, with a significant emphasis on student mobility, especially internships. With quite some effort we managed to organise 102 mobilities in total. University of Ljubljana has already signed bilateral agreements with HEI from all three donor countries, but are to procure new ones to facilitate additional mobilites and new partnerships.

Summary of bilateral results

The cooperation with donor project partner through incoming and outgoing mobilities contributed to strengthening existing partnerships and thus ensure their continuation and through the planned mobilities, it also contributed to the EEA and Norway Grants' goals of enhancing human capital and knowledge base with the participants of the mobilities gaining new knowledge, experiences and further development on personal and professional level. We have to expose that in some cases we were quite disappointed on response of high education institutions from donor countries as in many case doors for new cooperation were closed, so some of the outcomes were not reached. We hope this obstacle could be solved in the future as there are many good ideas of cooperation still to be realized.
