Summary of project results

Beneficiary applied for additional funding for preparation and printing of two informative publications aimed at raising awareness of the local and the general public. First publication is a leaflet about the history of the mill in village Dolenja vas, and the second is a brochure presenting the project In the Same Boat-Young Guardians of Heritage, as a supplement to the annual exhibition. Both publications stress the importance of intangible cultural heritage and its preservation and thus seek to approximate the history of the local environment to young people and to raise awareness of the importance of knowledge developed by the older generations. Publications present the results of the training for young people in production of spruce oil and the teaching-learning process of distillation which was developed within the basic project, as an example of good practice how interpretation of heritage through the sensory and experiential presentation connects participants with the traditions of their ancestors. Funding was provided for upgrading current project with additional activities, which were not included in the basic work plan and in the budget. Preparation of the brochures is complementary to already supported activities within the basic project; they follow the basic project objectives and upgrade the basic results.
