The Romanian Roma population faces serious educational problems across the country. Limited numbers of qualified teachers and inadequate educational infrastructure contribute to this situation. The main objective of the project is to improve the situation of Roma children who are at risk, in 15 localities within Brasov County. The project will facilitate the pychological, intellectual and physical development of 750 Roma children (aged 6-15 years) trough additional support for school activities, competitions, camps, knowledge and personal development and health education. A resource centre will also be established for school mediators, teachers and specialists in the field of education and social inclusion in Brasov. The project will include an information campaign on the importance of prevention of school dropouts for 500 members of the communities.
