Description

Project description: Hanplast is one of the leading representatives in the trade of plastics production and processing in Poland. The main objective of the project supported by GII Programme is installation of highly innovative photovoltaic modules (1200 kWp) located on the roofs of company’s buildings, covering 6683 m2. Hanplast cooperates with University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz on daily basics. In the project supported by GII Programme research workers were involved in photovoltaic modules installation process. Partners: The project will be implemented in cooperation with The University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz. Project objectives: • Development of pro-ecological innovations in the company • Protecting the natural environment by fostering manufacturing more ecological products • Promotion of the Polish enterprises on foreign markets Outcome indicators: • Number of environmental technologies successfully applied for use in new areas - 1 • Green jobs created – 5 new green jobs • Reduction in CO2 emissions – 631 tones/ year

Summary of project results

The objective of the project was to install innovative photovoltaic modules on the roofs of the company’s buildings, apply LED lighting in the production halls and warehouses, and modernize the heating system based on maximum utilization of process heat enabled by the installation of low-temperature heat pumps. Above mentioned investments lead to reduced energy consumption and better working environment for the employees. By end of the project all planned investments has been carried out according to the plan.
