Description

The project addresses the need to increase effectiveness of the services in the field of intense and coordinated information and training cooperation of Polish services responsible for combating cross-border and organised crime. They will be prepared to efficiently respond to the dangers by means of increasing the level of education, exchange of experiences and standardisation of knowledge and skills among the services. Planned actions in the form of two nationwide conferences and a dozen or so specialized workshops and training courses, conducted on the basis of two key platforms: “Observation, technical support, criminal data analysis” and “Special implementation actions”, through active exchange of experiences and acquiring specialist skills by representatives of all the services participating in the project, will directly contribute to increasing the efficiency and quality of tasks performed by project participants.

Summary of project results

The main goal of the project was to strengthen the ability and cooperation between Polish Border Guard, Police Central Bureau of Investigation and Internal Security Agency concerning preventing and fighting against cross-border and organized crime. The project responded to the urgent need of the increase in efficiency of those services. Within its framework, the program provided two conferences and several professional trainings and courses regarding to two main themes: “Surveillance, technical assistance, criminal data analysis” and “Special operations – realization”. Representatives of all services gained professional skills by exchange of experience what resulted in the strengthening of the efficiency and quality of the realization of official duties. Within the framework of the project, two conferences as well as professional trainings and courses were developed. The themes referred to fighting against organized crimes by arms team with use of firearms across urban areas, use of line techniques in special operations, tactical medical aid, arrestments of high-risk criminals in fighting against cross-border and organized crime while use of firearms is needed, offensive driving techniques – pursuit and detain of high-risk criminals, tactical recognition, surveillance and the use of operational technique during official duties and workshops on the approach to the trafficking of human beings victims. As a result of those activities, over 1000 officers were trained.
