Description

In Tarnów there is many communal facilities with poor conditions, which consume a lot of energy. This results in a large air pollution. In city Tarnów air quality has exceeded acceptable limits in the concentration of particulate matter PM10 and benzo (a) pyrene. Improving energetic efficiency of communal facilities causes reduction the emission of air pollution and improving air quality in city Tarnów and around. As a result of the implementation of the project co2 emission will be reduced by 1296,62 Mg/year and energy production from renewable energy sources will grow to about 66,6 MWh/year. In this project 5 buildings will be upgraded (1 kindergarten, 2 gymnasium, 1 the youth center building, 1 city council building). In all buildings lighting will be replaced by the LED. 166 photovoltaic cell and 12 solar panels to raise renewable energy with a total 61,68 MW will be installed. The project includes replacement of 373 windows (total 1165,93 m2), 1 glazing (1,68 m2), 27 doors (total 103,35 m2), and 5 central heating. 14 156,73 m2 walls and ceilings will have thermal insulation. 66 photovoltaic cell and 12 solar panels to raise renewable energy with a total 61,68 MW will be installed. 1752 lamps with a total power 66,2 kW will be replaced by the LED. The recipients of the project are students, their families and all the inhabitants of Tarnów and the surrounding area. Thanks to the implementation of the project ambient air quality will be improved in the region, what will help to improve the health of its inhabitants. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM

Summary of project results

In Tarnów there is many communal facilities with poor conditions, which consume a lot of energy. This results in a large air pollution which in city Tarnów has exceeded acceptable limits in the concentration of particulate matter PM10 and benzo (a) pyrene. Improving energy efficiency of communal facilities helps reduce the emission of air pollution and improves air quality in city Tarnów and around. Thermomodernisational works covered 9 public utility buildings (schools, kindergartens, workshop centre). Within the project over 15,2 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, over 400 windows and doors were replaced. 9 interior installations were modernised, installed were 2 power management systems, photovoltaic cells (52) and solar collectors (10) and ecological boilers. Interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1481 Mg/year). Thanks to the implementation of the project ambient air quality will be improved in the region, what will help to improve the health of its inhabitants. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM
