Description

Project is needed because there is a high degree of energy loss in 5 building caused by: failure to meet thermal performance requirements for space divisions, window joinery as well as poor condition of installations and systems, an outdated heating system, non-application of renewable energy sources. The crucial objective of the project is to improved thermal performance in 5 buildings as well as increased renewable energy production translating into reduced emission of greenhouses gases and air pollution. The project is expected to: thermal insulation of external walls with styrofoam by light wet method, thermal insulation of roofs with rock wool, replacement of wooden windows with PCV windows, replacement and construction of central heating systems, replacement of wooden external doors with PCV doors, thermal insulation of some floor slabs, installation of air-to-water absorption heat pump powered by gas. Challenges of the project will be achieved through an increased number of thermally upgraded buildings in the commune – 5 units, increased number of replaced/ thermally upgraded heat sources – 1 unit, 52 kW power, increased number of renewable energy installations – 1 unit, ecological impact – reduced emissions of Mg CO2 346.73 The beneficiaries of the project is the Commune of Zarszyn.

Summary of project results

Project was needed because there was a high degree of energy loss in 5 buildings (4 schools and municipality office) caused by: failure to meet thermal performance requirements for space divisions, window joinery as well as poor condition of installations and systems, an outdated heating system, non-application of renewable energy sources. The crucial objective of the project was to improve thermal performance in 5 buildings as well as increase renewable energy production and reduce emission of greenhouses gases and air pollution. Within the project over 6 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, almost 90 windows and doors were replaced. Modernised was interior installation, one heat pump was installed. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (282 Mg/year). The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Zarszyn.
