Description

The scope of the project involves 3 school buildings, i.e. Public Middle School No. 2 , Public Schools Complex No. 4, and Grammar School No. 6 in Świnoujście. The school buildings were erected in the 60s and 70s of the past century and do not meet the current thermal insulation requirements. Decrease pollutant emission to the atmosphere through improvement of energetic efficiency of buildings covered by the project The project realisation will reach the objective of reducing the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere by increasing the energy efficiency of the buildings. The average ratio of the annual final energy demand after the thermal insulation renovation of the buildings involved in this project is expected to reach the value of FE= 172 kWh /m2. After the project is completed, the planned environmental impact, i.e. carbon dioxide emission reduction will amount to 1223.57 Mg/year. The aforementioned technical condition and the economic aspect of the excessive costs of heat supply were the reason behind the Świnoujście Municipality’s decision to proceed with the realisation of the thermal renovation project. The thermal insulation improvement of the building envelopes, energy efficient door and window woodwork fitting, and upgrading the heating systems will enable maintaining a reasonable level of heat consumption. The project shall deliver the energy performance of the buildings and their in-building systems compliant with the regulations included in the “Technical specifications for buildings and their location” as well as with the applicable standards. The Świnoujście Municipality, pupils, inhabitants, tourists, and all people residing in the city shall become the indirect beneficiaries.
