Description

The project is needed to improve the energy efficiency of buildings to reduce their maintenance costs and CO2 emissions. The project will not only improve energy efficiency in buildings but also increase the use of energy from renewable energy sources. The aim of the project is to improve the energy efficiency, as well as the increase of the share of renewable energy of the public utility buildings in Lipie and Parzymiechy which will be achieved through thermo-modernisation, replacement of the existing energy source, to the modern, energy efficient and environmentally friendly heat source (biomass boiler) and implementation of ventilation with heat recovery system, replacement of the light sources to the energy efficient LED light source, replacement of the luminaries fixture with accessories to the energy efficient. This project will deliver results on improved energy efficiency in buildings, increased renewable energy production in relation to buildings, increased awareness of in energy efficiency. The project is expected to reduce CO2 emission by 1 856,71 Mg per year, and increase the production of the energy from renewable sources to 2 323,38 MWh per year. This project will improve energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy solutions in buildings. This will increase energy saving and the use of renewable energy sources, which in turn will result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions. The Lipie Commune and its inhabitants and the people who spend their days in those buildings, especially the staff and the children are expected to benefit from the project.

Summary of project results

Projects aim was to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and to increase the use of energy from RES to reduce maintenance costs and CO2 emissions. This goals were possible to achieve through thermomodernisation. Thermomodernisational works covered 4 public utility buildings (including school). Within the project over 9 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, 321 windows and 17 doors were replaced. Interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one (989 lighting points replaced). Installed were 5 biomass boilers and 4 ventilation with heat recovery systems and system for heat sources regulation. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1735 Mg/year) and to increase energy production from renewable sources to 1091 MWh/year. From the project benefit inhabitants of Lipie Commune and people who spend their days in thermomodernised buildings, especially the staff and the children.
