Description

The building included in the project is currently very costly to maintain and energy inefficient. Its operation also generates an environmental problem in the form of excessive emissions of CO2 and other pollutants. The overall goal of the project is to improve energy efficiency in the building of the Municipal Office in Kalety and increase the use of energy from renewable sources. The long-term and overarching goal of the project is to reduce greenhouse gases and air pollution in the Municipality of Kalety. Thanks to the comprehensive thermo-modernisation of the building, the emission of gases and dust into the atmosphere will be reduced significantly, and thus air quality will be improved. The energy efficiency of the building will also be increased, which will result in electricity savings. The use of the solar collectors on the other hand, will not only reduce consumption of the building's thermal energy but it will also promote "green energy" among the inhabitants of the city. A direct beneficiary of the project is the Municipality – City of Kalety. Indirect beneficiaries of the project implementation will be all the inhabitants of Kalety, who will feel the improvement of air quality in the area. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM

Summary of project results

The building included in the project was very expensive to maintain and energy inefficient. Its operation also generated an environmental problem in the form of excessive emissions of CO2 and other pollutants. The overall goal of the project was to improve energy efficiency in the building of the Municipal Office in Kalety and increase the use of energy from renewable sources. The long-term and overarching goal of the project was to reduce greenhouse gases and air pollution in the Municipality of Kalety. Within the project over 2 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, old windows and doors were replaced. Modernised were interior installations (including ventilation) and interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one. Installed were 4 solar collectors and 2 ecological boilers. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (463 Mg/year). Projects implementation also helped to promote "green energy" among the inhabitants of the city. A direct beneficiary of the project is the Municipality – City of Kalety. Indirect beneficiaries of the project implementation are the inhabitants of Kalety, who will feel the improvement of air quality in the area. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM
