Description

The project is needed to increase the efficiency of the flue gas desulphurisation process, which will have a significant impact on environmental protection and contribute to the adaption to legally required emission standards. The aim of the project is to improve air quality by reducing SO2 emissions from lignite combustion installation in unit no. 6 at the Turów Power Plant. It is expected that the project will reduce SO2 emissions by 413.25 Mg/year, as well as reducing dust emissions by 83.39 Mg/year. This will be achieved through a complete self-standing Flue-Gas Desulphurisation System using a wet lime-gypsum process. The main beneficiaries, along with the environment, are residents living close to the Turów Power Plant.
