Description
The buildings of the hospital are old and have a huge problem with the waste of the energy. The objective of the project is to reduce emission of carbon dioxide and to decrease air pollution in district Zawiercie, as well as increasing the contribution of renewable energy in the general balance of the energy consumption. The results that the project is expected to achieve include: 15 375,92 m2 insulated external walls and the facade of the buildings; 931 replaced windows (2 020,49m2); 23 replaced doors (63,91m2); 2 modernized central heating installations; 2 modernized ventilating installation; 1 922 replaced lights; and 210 solar installations. As a result of the project implementation, the energy consumption will be decreased about 59,35% and the carbon dioxide will be reduced about 55%. The hospital of the district Zawiercie and all people from the district Zawiercie are the main beneficiaries of the project, because in effect the air pollutions will be reduced and energy consumption will be reduced. It will have positive impact of the health of inhabitants this region and increase comfort of hospitalization.
Summary of project results

The objective of the project was to reduce emission of carbon dioxide and to decrease air pollution in district Zawiercie, as well as increase the contribution of renewable energy in the general balance of the energy consumption. Thermomodernisational works covered 2 hospital buildings. Within the project over 13,6 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, almost 1000 windows and doors were replaced. Interior installations (including ventilation) were modernised. The Beneficiary has installed 210 solar collectors and exchanged lighting for ecological one. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1811 Mg/year). The hospital of the district Zawiercie and all people from the district Zawiercie are the main beneficiaries of the project, as the air pollution and energy consumption were reduced. It has a positive impact on health of inhabitants of this region.
