Description

The project is necessary to reduce the school’s energy costs and to reduce emissions of pollutants. Currently the insulation standard is poor and the results are large heat loses. The main goal of the project is to increase energy effectiveness and as a result – reduce energy costs and emissions of pollutants. The project implementation will significantly reduce buildings energy needs. 1. Cutting thermal energy demand. 2. Limitation of CO2 emission. The project objective will be achieved through: wall, ceiling and roof insulation, windows and doors replacement, modernization of the heating system, and the implementation of a energy management system. Beneficiaries will be the Stargard County, the students at the school and residents of Stargard Szczecinski. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM.

Summary of project results

Before projects implementation, insulation standard of public utility buildings in Stargardzki District was poor which results in large heat loses. The main project objective was to reduce emissions of pollutants and the school’s energy costs. Thermomodernisational works covered 4 public school's buildings. Within the project over 6,7 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, over 250 windows and doors were replaced. Modernised were interior installations. Beneficiary has also mounted 3 power management systems in buildings. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (710 Mg/year). Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM. From project benefit not only natural environment but also students of the school and residents of Stargard Szczecinski.
