As part of the project the following activities will be implemented: - purchase or rent of specialized new generation equipment, - preparation and implementation on new analytical methods for monitoring of air quality, - preparation of effective methods for presentation of results and distribution of information about quality, - utilizing modern methods for modelling and visualization of data, - study trips, trainings, - preparation of bulletins.

Summary of project results

The project focused on issues related to improving the quality and reliability of data and information about the environment, and above all on educational activities - increasing the level of knowledge on monitoring air quality and the control activities conducted in this area. Research carried out as part of the project and comprehensive elaboration of their results allowed for the extension of information on the state of the environment, including abiotic elements, constituting the basis for the interpretation of natural phenomena. Most of the research was conducted as part of the Różany Potok Station, but after equipping the station with mobile measuring devices (purchased under the Project), sampling and testing can also be implemented throughout the country. Numerous trainings and conferences in the field of conducting analyzes with the use of developed new analytical procedures were organized, the results of which along with their interpretation and visualization were made available on the Internet and at university facilities. Providing information on the state of air quality enabled their use in interdisciplinary assessment of the quality of the environment, and the inclusion of students and employees in the implementation of the Project increased the impact of information on air quality. The equipment purchased and the analytical procedures developed to replace the monitoring procedures used so far as the basic analytical technique of Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) will continue to be used after the end of the Project, both as part of the Station's monitoring tests and activities educational and didactic activities.
