Description

The results of a survey carried out among people between 5 and 65 years who live in Sanok clearly shows that the awareness of forms of nature conservation is disappointingly low and insufficient. Few people have heard about the NATURA 2000 network and many have little knowledge about flora and fauna biodiversity. The crucial objective of the project is to increase social awareness of the range of biological diversity and education on climate changes and the economic value of ecosystems. The project is expected to raise social knowledge and ecological awareness of the Natura 2000 network and the nature-value biodiversity of the town. Raised social ecological awareness will be achieved through a widespread promotional campaign that is based on active social participation. The beneficiaries of the project are: children and young people, teachers employed in educational institutions in Sanok, people who work in local government agencies, Sanok inhabitants, and tourists visiting Sanok.
