Description

The aim of the Project is to promote the well-being of families with children from Talsi and Tukums regions expanding accessibility of support services in order to reduce the risks of social inequality and gender stereotypes about traditional division of roles, to adopt training, therapy and support programs that are not currently available in the region, and to develop innovative training and support programs elaborated by the specialists of the local NGOs. The target group is families with children, including members of association representing the target group. The project activities will take place in Tukums region and Talsi region. The main activities involve adaption and implementation of programmes for “Parent’s school”, “ Women’s studio”, “Family laboratory”. For the purposes of promotion of the project activities a cycle race event for families with children will be organized.

Summary of project results

The Project aim was to promote well-being of families with children from Talsi and Tukums region by ehpanding the accessibility of support services in order to reduce the risks of social inequality and gender stereotypes about traditional division of roles. As result was adopted 5 training, therapy and support programms and developed 3 innovative training and support program. In training was involved families with children, totally 90 people – 21 man and 69 women, including 6 members of association “Viva Familia”, who represent the target group of project. Main results: - Developed training course “Parent’s school”, which include 3 adapted programs, specified to the local needs and living conditions and 1 innovative program. Training course to hand on the torch of the quality of life and well-being of families with children. - Developed training and therapy course “Women’s studio”, which include 2 inovative programs in regional level and 1 experience exchange event, which promote healthy living; - Developed training course “Family laboratory”, which include 2 adapted and 1 consolidation event for families with children. The most successful was program for parents such as “Children’s emotional awarness” and “Methods of positive disciplination of teenagers”; - Developed special training program for young fathers “Fathers are important!” which improved father’s perception of thear role in the family; - Trained and involved to the different project activities 90 people; - Project gave basic metodology, skills and inspiration for project promoter to continue to provide for parents, families and couples training courses and support services, which was developed and adopted as a part of the Project.
